“Not Me Now” project sort to mitigate sexual and reproductive problem faced the adolescent girl and young women in the region Adopting strategies that will end teenage pregnancy, unsafe abortion, all forms of violence, discrimination, negative cultural practices such as early child, forced marriage, female genital mutilation against the girl child and also increased young people, access to SRHR information and services through capacity building, conference, drama, sing, dancing, sport, radio discussion, community mobilization and community engagement that empowered young people to make right choices regarding their Sexual life or debut.
“Not Me Now’ project adopted a four-pronged approach towards improving the SRHR situation of young people which will enable adolescent girls and young women to make decisions and take control over their lives, reproductive health, experience reduction in violence, abuse, stigmatization, and discrimination and; improved access to safer and more effective, efficient and good quality services and support systems including legal aid through the use of radio discussion, drama, conference, picketing, community engagement and mobilization to empowered young people to make right choices regarding their sexual life. It also creates a supportive environment by using community leaders and champions to do advocacy for the promotion of SRHR of the young ones in the region.
