Keeping Girls in School, Securing Their Future

In the Volta Region, many adolescent girls struggle to complete school due to poverty, lack of menstrual hygiene products, harmful gender norms, and limited community support. These challenges often cause absenteeism, poor academic performance, and school dropouts. The Keeping Girls in School, Securing Their Future  Project was designed to break these barriers and give girls the dignity, resources, and supportive environment they need to thrive

  • Established Girls’ Education Clubs in schools.
  • Trained peer mentors and supportive teachers to provide guidance, mentorship, and safe spaces.
  • Encouraged reading habits, leadership, and confidence-building
  • Reintegrated teenage mothers and dropouts back into school.
Provided educational materials (books, bags, supplies).
  • Engaged parents, teachers, and community leaders to challenge harmful norms and support girls’ education.
  • 100 adolescent girls (direct beneficiaries).
  • 300+ parents, teachers, and community members (through awareness and engagement).
  • Improved school retention among girls.
  • Enhanced reading, confidence, and leadership
  • Teenage mothers and school dropouts reintegrated into education.
  • Stronger community support for girls’ education and reduced stigma.

Every girl deserves the right to learn, dream, and succeed. By removing barriers like poverty, stigma, and lack of resources, this project empowers girls to stay in school and become the next generation of leaders who will transform their communities.

We are on a mission to empower the youth and the world
